Congratulations President Elect Obama.

On being the first African American President in US history, it is an historic accomplishment you and your family and millions should be proud of.

I myself did not vote for you, and do not agree with you on a great number of things. All that rings in my head are the words “Hope & Change” Well that sounds good, but what are you hoping for, and not all change is good. You’ve achieved the highest office in the land, and now you have to live up to all the hype you and the media have created.  Remember this is America, we love a star, but one thing the public likes more is tearing one down.  After your inauguration there will be no more George Bush to beat up on, there will be no more Sarah Palin for SNL to spoof and make fun of. Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher will have to aim their vitriol at someone else, and if you aren’t the liberal they have dreamed of, you will be in the cross hairs of their satirical gun. The world loves you now, because you aren’t George Bush.  After January 20th, you will be the President of the country the world still hates. They hated us long before George Bush, and they will hate us long after. How will you deal with not being the “Chosen One?”

I honestly hope you will be the President you say you are going to be, a unifier, and bring the country together. I will have to take your word on that, but your record is one of a complete partisan liberal. Plus you have a House & Senate controlled by people who have your same record. Will you be able to show some restraint, or will you give in to the hard leftists that helped put you in office?

I believe in the coming year you are going to have a new found respect for George Bush, you may disagree with everything he has done, but until then you have no idea how hard his job has been, but you will.

“We the People” have elected you. Now remember “We the People” can vote you out. Do the best you can.
