What is myEbar.net?
myEbar.net is a nationwide search engine for restaurants and bars. It also includes a social networking aspect for patrons to make business and social contacts both on a local and national level.
Who is Rocko?
Rocko is the face of myEbar.net. He helps us ensure that only patrons who have reached the age of 21 are registered. He can also help to answer questions about the site. You can email Rocko at rocko@myebar.net or click on his profile page for additional assistance.

How do I change my profile picture?
Once you have logged in, simply click on your profile picture in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. You will be redirected to your profile page. Click on Edit (in the upper left-hand corner) to display a drop down menu from which you will choose Update Your Image. You may choose one of the default “avatars” that are available or click on the browse button to upload a picture from your computer.
How do I add pictures to my profile?
On the right of your profile page, there is an area dedicated to your personal photos. Simply click on the Submit New Gallery Entry to open the upload form. Use the Browse button to upload photos from your computer. It is necessary to enter a title for each picture. In addition, you may wish to enter a description of your photo as well. Descriptions are not required. *Note: you may need to compress your photos (make them smaller) in order to upload them. Compressing your photos will not change the dimensions of them.
Why can’t people see my pictures?
Your profile settings may need to be adjusted. In your profile page, click on Edit and Update Your Profile.  Select the My Photo Gallery tab on the top row. At the bottom you will see a field titled Access Mode. You can choose to make your photos visible to everyone by selecting Allow Public Access or set access to only registered users by selecting Allow Registered Access and so on. Stealth mode hides your photo gallery completely unless you are a registered user or connection, based on the option that you choose. Be sure to click on Update at the bottom of the page.

How do I add music?
On the right side of your profile you will see an MP3 Music Player. Click on Submit New MP3 File to open the upload form. Currently, only mp3 files are supported by myEbar.net. Use the Browse button to upload music files from your computer. It is necessary to enter a song title for each MP3 file.
Why won’t my music play/upload?
Make sure that the file that you are trying to upload is supported. Only MP3 files are playable on myEbar.net at this time. If your file type is not supported or the file that you are trying to upload exceeds the maximum file size allotted, you will receive a warning message. It may be necessary for you to choose another file to upload.
How do I add videos?
In the center column of your profile page (at the top) is a video screen. To add videos, click on the Share a New Video link to open the upload form. You will need the URL (web address) of the video you wish to upload. Videos from YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/) and Google Video (http://video.google.com/) are supported. Simply copy and paste the URL in the Video URL field of the upload form. It is necessary to enter a title for each video you add.

What type of user am I?
There are six different types of users: Bar, Club, Restaurant, Winery, Musician, Comedian, and Patron. If you don’t run a bar, restaurant or winery and you’re not musically inclined or funny chances are you’re a Patron. Once you are logged on, click on your profile picture to go to your profile page. Click on Edit and select Update Your Profile from the drop-down menu. In the About Me tab you will find User Type. Be sure to select the appropriate user from the list of available users. Be sure to click on Update at the bottom of the page.
What is a Patron?
According to the dictionary a patron is: 1. One that supports, protects, or champions someone or something, such as an institution, event, or cause; a sponsor or benefactor: a patron of the arts.2. A customer, especially a regular customer. If you are not a bar, restaurant, winery, musician, or comedian you are a Patron.
How do I add friends (connections)?
While viewing other users’ profiles, simply click on Connections and choose Request Connection. The user will receive an announcement when they log into the home page that they have a connection pending at which time they can accept or deny your request.

Can I invite people to myEbar.net?
Yes! You sure can and we highly recommend it. From your profile page, locate the Invitation section in the lower right-hand corner and click on Invite a Friend. In the invite field type your friend’s name and email address and click on Send Invitation. You can check the status of your sent invitations from your profile page.
Why can’t I see the Classifieds Ads?
Are you registered? Are you logged in? Only registered users have access to certain areas of the myEbar.net site. If you can see the Classifieds tab but when you click on it, you get a login error message, you must return to the Home page and log in.
Where did the Games go?
As an added benefit to our registered users, we have several games to choose from. If you are not registered or not logged in, you will not be able to access this feature. Upon logging in, you will see the Games tab appear in the top user menu. This user-only access also prevents guests from bumping our hard-working employees’ top scores off the radar.
How do I delete my profile?
Well, this is a toughy. We’re not really sure what would possess you to want to do such a thing, but we understand that it may happen. If that’s the case, just send an email to Administrator@myebar.net requesting that your profile be removed. Please include your username andregistered email address to help us process your request.

How do I add a menu?
The menu feature is a handy tool for Bars, Restaurants and Wineries as well as Musicians and Comedians. To add/edit your menu, you must be logged in to your profile. Click on Edit and select Update Your Profile. Choose Menu from the tabs in the bottom row. Select the Type of Cuisine you offer from the list available. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please let us know. The menu window is ready to be typed in. You can change the look of your menu by using the icons at the top of the menu window. The window is a WYSIWYG window (what you see is what you get). You can enter text directly into the window or, if you are comfortable with HTML, click on the HTML icon to open an HTML Source Editor. If you already have a menu saved in a text file, you can simply copy and paste it into the Menu – a real time saver. *Note: Menus don’t just have to include food items. Be creative. Musicians and Comedians may find the menu area a great place to add extra information including song lists, additional contact info, or to advertise other services that they offer, etc.

How do I search for restaurants and bars?
Both registered users and guests may use the myEbar.net search. From anywhere within the myEbar.net site, simply click on Browse Locations to view all of the locations available. You can sort the list by Username, Status or Location by clicking on the column header. If you would like to search out locations based on cuisine, or type of location, try using the Advanced Search link at the top.
Can I recommend a new restaurant or bar?
Absolutely! We want to hear from you. Our goal is to list user favorites as well as our own personal favorites. The point of myEbar.net is to supply you with the best of the best from around the country – and well, truth-be-told, the world. The best may be the corner bar with the best burgers and wings around or the finest 5-star restaurant on the East Coast. Whatever your pleasure, we want to be able to offer you locations that come highly recommended and are to your liking.
