Well, winter is nipping at our heels and the snow is a blowing again. I must admit I love the seasons and winter in particular as it will soon be time to grease up the skis and head to the mountains. There is something that makes me giddy about taking my life in my hands by strapping a couple pieces of high tech plastic to my feet and pushing myself off the top of a large hill while relying on very limited skills. You make it to the bottom of the hill without killing yourself or breaking anything important and by God you deserve a cocktail or two, laughing and giggling like a schoolgirl allowing life to wash over you as if you had done something important and so we drink to our own self importance. And there si something about a beautiful woman wrapped head to toe in layers and layers of wool, cotton and furs, mittens and scarves, hats and mufflers that allow the imagination a road trip all it's own. I know some like to watch the fairer sex as they strut down a beach in barely nothing but winter allows you to enjoy the sensual pleasure of Christmas morning, unwrapping your present and the joy that comes with discovery. Yeah, I'm a pervert but I try to wax poetic and it becomes art. |
