Bozu's signature dish is its bomb sushi, so named for its spherical form and small size-a one-bite challenge to American behemoths. you shoot them in your mouth like a bomb, says owner Makoto Suzuki, who tints his sushi rice pink with codfish roe and red with cabbage. -New York Magazine- Snack-sized portions are the name of the game at this funky joint, whose interior, exposed brick, charred bamboo and Eames-style chairs, is as distinctive as the eats. -Daily News- Even the most jaded of hipsters are raving about Bozu (pronounced 'bose'), the three-week-old Japanese restaurant located on a burgeoning strip of Grand Street. Of all five of these Brooklyn eateries, Bose is the only one where the design, the music and the food all work together - to startling effect. -New York Post-

8/26/2010 1 Check-in Here If one place deserve five stars, this is it. Great food, great service, great drinks.
You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, even though the names might sound a bit not promising. We had the party balls (a very unflattering name for the best sushi I have ever had), the stinky salmon sushi (same here), taco balls, stuffed mushroom, and a panna cotta desert. Delicate, inventive, delicious.
The drinks are craving worthy, too - try the wasabi margarita.
The service was attentive and friendly. By phone battery was very low, so they helped me get I charged.

Updated - 8/3/2010 3 photos 9 friends planned a night out of dancing and some food. I called Bozu to make reservations for my party of 9. I was told we were to have a Prefix dinner. I am not a fan of Prefix dinners. In my experience they limit the choice and increase the price you have to pay for the dinner. I had a great time at Bozu lasttime so I asked a few question...making sure the sushi bombs were included. The manager asked me what were my guests dietary requirements...any veggies in your group? Yes we had one and he could eat fish. Next the manager put our waitress on the phone to introduce us. Our waitress' name was Chelsea. She was going to make up or Prefix dinner.
So I get there late. Some quests arrive before. Some arrive after. No problem for Bozu. We order drinks. And the meal starts. OMG every thing was great. The Bombs were the bomb and the pork belly was great. We had a great time. Our waitress Chelsea was awesome. She took great care of us. I am going to go again and again. Yum!!!
