I had lunch at "La Cuisine Amical" by recommendation of Urbanspoon, and was pleasantly surprised with what I found. I ordered the Downtown Express Meal, and chose the Quiche Lorraine/ Caesar Salad combination. I was very surprised, and really enjoyed the quiche. The bacon really took a subtle forefront for this dish, but it wasn't too much bacon. The quiche also wasn't salty, which I was thankful for. The Caesar Salad was also prepared very nicely, and the dressing wasn't overly creamy. Altogether, a very nice size of a dish. Also had a bite of the Chicken and Broccoli Crepes, which were surprisingly very light. Overall, the restaurant had a very light ambiance, with attentive and friendly staff... Brava

I can never make it to the entre's because I fill up on all their wonderful appetizers! The tomato soup is the best thing ever on a cold Michigan winter day. The olive bread twists and white fish pate are divine! You just can't go wrong here. Just a little cramped - but still worth the squeeze. |
